FCD First Contact Driver Training School was established in 1991, training HGV, LGV and PCV (PSV) trainees into becoming Professional Drivers. Although based in Exeter, Devon, FCD provided Driver Training in Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Yorkshire and London.

Within a short time the focus of FCD was expanded upon, to encompass a growing demand of services. By the mid to late 1990’s FCD First Contact Driving School was established as a Car Learner Driving School, and has grown to provide not only car Learner Driving Lessons, but a range of other Driver Training Services such as Advanced Driver Training, Skid Car Training, Trailer Towing Training, Motorcycle Training, DAS and CBT Courses, Pass Plus Driving Courses and Taxi/Hackney Driver Training.

By the year 1998, FCD Driving Excellence was formally established. Whilst training a whole new generation of Professional Drivers, we found a demand for established drivers to be updated with new information and old information refreshed. From that time on this part of the company has gone from strength to strength.

In the year 2009 we now provide a service to companies all over the UK, Europe and Australia.

FCD’s goal is to constantly update, refresh and remain current with all aspects of operating and driving all classes of vehicle categories. Regardless of how large or small your vehicles may be. If it moves we’ll ensure that it’s being moved in a safe, economic, eco-friendly way and to maintain the High Standards you have come to expect from us as a company.
